The preferred meeting place is in “The Entrance To Baldwin Beach Park“*
*The meeting location may vary depending on weather, route, or other logistics. Your guide will contact you the day before to confirm the meeting location.
-
Tours begin at 8 am at the entrance to Baldwin Beach Park. However, if you guys are early birds or late risers (especially on the half day tour), just talk to your guide the day before when they confirm and we may be able to accommodate a later start. Depending on weather, road conditions, etc. your guide may be able to accommodate a different start time

Foodies! We love you guys! There are so many delicious food options along the way. From fresh out-of-the-oven banana bread to local exotic and tropical fruits, roadside bbq, thai food, fish fresh from Hana harbor, and the list goes on. Don’t be alarmed if your guide stops the van, climbs a tree, and brings back delicious things to enjoy!*

Less is more on our tours! We got you guys covered for the most part: we provide beach towels, reef safe sunscreen, natural bug repellant, a cooler with water and juice on ice (please feel free to add to the cooler). We recommend wearing a swimsuit for day (if you’re interested in swimming/getting your toes wet) and something to cover up for lunch and after we’re done swimming for the day. Water shoes or shoes you don’t mind getting wet/muddy, (not the day for $300 Nike Air Jordans or stilletos). We’ve never had a problem in 6 years, but good rule of thumb if you don’t want to lose it, don’t bring it, jewelry included (falls off in waterfalls, beaches, etc.) Cell phones, cameras etc. all good to go!
-
Bring spending cash, camera, bathing suits, change of clothes, and water shoes (or shoes you don’t mind getting wet and muddy).

At no time will you be expected to do anything that you don’t wish to do. If your guide believes you are capable of safely accomplishing something, they will encourage you to do so, but at no time will you be required to do anything you don’t feel comfortable with. Likewise, we love seeing people surprise themselves with trying new things, however, if your guide deems something too risky for your ability level, you must respect that decision. Each and every tour is made in accordance with the client’s ability level and interests. It’s all about you guys having an awesome day, after all, and we’re not going to put you guys in a situation where you’re uncomfortable.

Tours are offered 7 days a week and can be booked online up to 48 hours* before the tour. Tours are on a first come/first serve basis, and we only offer one tour per day so if you have a day in mind, the sooner you book the better!
*If you wish to go within 48 hours of the current time please call or text us to book.

All of our tours are private and just for your party. Feel free to invite the new Maui friends you made on the beach if the van has room, refer to our website for pricing for additional guests. (+$99 per person usually) After all, one of the best parts of traveling is the people you meet along the way!

All cancellation are subject to a $100 cancellation fee if made before 72 hours of the tour start time. Cancellations made within 48 hours of tour start time will not receive a refund, they will, however, be granted a credit with us for 1/2 of the total paid for any future tours. *Although I personally feel like if we don’t take you guys out, we haven’t earned your money, we’ve likely turned away multiple bookings that wanted that day and we still pay our guides regardless of cancellation since they have other jobs. We will do our very best to reschedule you to another day that works, and go to great lengths to make that happen (yes, sometimes even on weekends). This credit is also transferrable so if your kids/friends are coming out we’ll hook them up! Any last minute cancellations will be dealt with directly by me (Marty), and I operate on the “good guy policy”.

We can accommodate parties of up to 7 in our Kia Sedona van, however if you are an NFL lineman with 6 big NFL buddies, that’s going to be uncomfortable. 6 adults of varying sizes can ride comfortably in our van: if you have 3 smaller kids they’ll be cool in the rear row, and we can fit three adults in the second row and one lucky one riding shotgun. If in doubt, google “2021 Kia Sedona” and check out the interior.

Eh more the merrier is the Hawaiian way, we don’t want anyone to be left out of the fun! Keep in mind the size of the van and expect to have their price paid cash in the morning, however you must square this with your guide before you guys leave the hotel to make sure we can accommodate everyone. Vehicles other than the tour van are absolutely not allowed to “tag along”, mostly due to driving the crazy road to Hana, limited parking, and liability issues.
-
Although we love kids and seeing how stoked they are in the jungle is absolutely the most rewarding part of being a tour guide, kids and adults are priced the same. We are sensitive to the cost of traveling with a family of 5 and have tried our best to structure out pricing to take it easy on families while still making our minimum for smaller parties of adults.

Over the years we have found that it diminishes the experience of the tour for you guys and puts an unsafe burden on our guides. Uber is reliable on Maui nowadays, and will get you to our meeting location (10 mins from airport) for a fraction of what we would have to charge you. I suggest scheduling/reserving an uber ahead of time if you don’t have a rental car while on Maui. Please note we can accommodate airport pickup and drop off.
-
Not. Even. Close. There are so many awesome things to see/eat/do/jump/climb along the road to Hana. Expect to be pulling over every 20 mins and doing something awesome!
-
Unfortunately this tour is not suitable for infants and toddlers, our minimum age is 4 years old. We apologize and hope to see you guys in a couple more years!

We use luxury minivans with AC and rated for 7 passengers. One person riding shotgun, 3 in the 2nd row, and a smaller 3rd row with seating for 3. This works well for families with smaller children and we limit the group to 6 people to ensure adequate space and comfort. Please consider the sizes of everyone in your group, if it’s going to be a little cramped we would recommend the half day tour to minimize time spent in the van.
